Members of Parliament have proposed changing the BBC's fee structure. They recommend cutting costs and expanding funding to include areas beyond television. MPs also suggest scrapping the BBC's charter renewal and stopping the broadcaster from undercutting commercial rivals for overseas shows. The proposals aim to address the BBC's financial challenges as it faces a critical decision point. The recommendations come amid continuous debates about the broadcaster's next steps.
