Sandy, an inexperienced eagle slipped from a fragile nest earlier this week. The bird lost its footing while perched in a towering tree and hit the forest floor. A nearby live webcam was rolling and now streams nonstop as scouts and wildlife experts hunt for the eaglet.
Park rangers are thoroughly scanning the area for evidence of injury. The camera has been pulling thousands of viewers from across surrounding areas. It will stay online until the eaglet is found or formally listed as missing.
