Governor Kathy Hochul has assigned Attorney General Letitia James to oversee the Cornell gang-rape investigation. This move follows the 2024 determination not to prosecute, as disclosed in recently unlocked documents. The documents include Jane Doe's account from transcripts. The governor directed the attorney general to supervise the investigation, citing the necessity for a comprehensive review. The case had previously been handled by the district attorney.
