The San Francisco 49ers have reunited with wide receiver Dante Pettis after a tryout. Pettis, who played for the 49ers in the past, was one of several players the 49ers worked out. Among the players the 49ers considered was Jerry Rice's son Brenden Rice. The team also cut a defensive lineman. The signing brings back Pettis with the 49ers after a previous unlucky attempt.
