His death was publicly confirmed that day.
He spent several years on the show and became a recognised face in both Australia and the UK.
Former co‑star Melissa George said she is devastated.
She called the loss “devastation beyond comprehension” and described it as “deeply tragic”.
She added that his ability and friendship will be missed.
