Prince William visited in July 2023 to see the extension, glasshouse, and gardens. Funds from the Duchy support the Duke’s public, private, and charitable activities. Located on the Duchy estate and is part of a long-standing estate operation which began public access in 1975. A fifty-year growth plan has guided its development. Awards and recognition accompany the nursery. Duchy of Cornwall Nursery continues to expand with garden center facilities while emphasizing nature-friendly horticulture.

After further transformations since 2011, it is a place of sanctuary for every visitor, where horticulture is celebrated, and nature is allowed to flourish.
