A car abruptly struck three pedestrians on foot outside the M&S store on Ealing Broadway during the incident on Saturday morning. All three were taken promptly to hospital. An ambulance got there in no time and police helped promptly the injured on the pavement. No one else was hurt.
Police closed the busy shopping stretch temporarily while they began inquiries. The road stayed shut entirely through the afternoon as officers kept carefully questioning the scene. Shoppers were sent another alternative way and traffic was rerouted, leaving the street calm and serene. The closure caused short brief delays for drivers.
