Ed Harris complained initially about his limited part in the series in Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone spin-off. He thought the role was pointless and demanded to quit. Harris told Variety, 'bluntly Get me the f- out of here' as he threw his hands up. He later chose to return for Season 2 to come back for the next season. The show’s boss reworked the narrative and gave his character more to do. That change made Harris choose to stay. Deadline now says he will reprise the part.
