An amateur skygazer using Google Maps located a wide circular hollow in northern Quebec. Staff at Quebec’s geological survey confirmed it is a massive meteorite impact crater formed around 390 million years near Lake Mistassini. The ground formation mirrors other confirmed craters and indicates a violent prehistoric strike. Satellite images were it thoroughly cross-referenced field data to substantiate the discovery.
