On Saturday a spirited elder holidaying at a RIU resort in Britain filmed herself pulling towels off sunbeds that other guests had marked as theirs.
The clip was posted on X and almost instantly attracted thousands of views and comments.
Bystanders said the beds were obviously reserved, while others praised the woman for challenging what they called “sunbed hoggers”.
The video set off a spate of similar recordings from other resorts.
Resort staff said they intend to review the incident and nudge guests of sharing rules.
The grandmother has not been identified, but the footage continues disseminated across social media.
