Congress approved the largest housing affordability bill in a generation recently. The measure seek to increase the supply of affordable homes and add new financing tools. It cleared the House and was forwarded to the President’s desk for approval.
Five GOP senators opposed the bipartisan proposal. Their objection did not stop the bill from passing both chambers. The legislation now needs the President’s approval.
