Macklin Celebrini joined back the squad and scored a goal in a close loss to the Edmonton Oilers. The rookie forward, who had been sidelined, took the ice alongside fellow prospect Will Smith, who also featured in the NHL. Despite the loss, the Sharks saw a bright spot as Ivar Stenberg netted his first-ever professional goal during a different match against the Boston Bruins.
