Production on The Batman Part II has come to a halt after director Matt Reeves took leave for a family matter. Variety Australia, The Hollywood Reporter, and Deadline all reported the halt on 5 October 2026.
The stoppage adds to timeline pressures already surrounding the sequel. Cast member Sebastian Stan, who recently discussed how playing Donald Trump secured him a role in the film, had been working with Reeves before the pause. No timeline for a return to filming has been announced.
