Miatta Fahnbulleh addressed the Labour Party Conference 2026, discussing the cost of the green transition and its impact on British citizens. The energy secretary proposed spreading the cost, while negotiations continued with international partners and the US regarding emergency diesel stockpiles. Lord Sugar also called for the Royal Navy to intercept asylum seekers. The discussions come as the UK seeks to transition to green energy and amid concerns over higher household expenses.
