The National Rugby League altered its rules to give Jai Arrow special dispensation. The amendment follows his forced retirement from rugby league owing to motor neurone disease. This special dispensation allows Arrow to reach 100 games for the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Emotional Rabbitohs players learned of the update. He can now hit a milestone.
In a separate case, a man given a diagnosis of MND 29 years ago continues to be ill but alive. In a further case, a UK patient aged 36 learned he has 10 years to live after his diagnosis.
