Nelson Toburen, a linebacker who won two NFL championships with the Green Bay Packers under coach Vince Lombardi, has died at 87 after a fight against cancer.
Toburen played during the Lombardi era, one of the most celebrated periods in Packers history. The team ruled the NFL during those years, and Toburen contributed to that winning period.
After his time on the field was over, Toburen went on to serve as a judge in Kansas, a role that defined much of his later life.
