Preston North End has parted ways with head coach Paul Heckingbottom. The club announced his exit on Sunday. Preston is currently in the drop zone of the Championship after losing six of its first seven games in the current league schedule. Heckingbottom was brought in at Preston last year. He was previously in charge of Sheffield United. The team will be led by a Premier League cult hero in the interim role. The decision stems from a rough opening to the campaign.
