Governor Newsom signed new laws to limit Immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE activities in California. The legislation include bans on police using electrically conductive gloves and support measures for immigrant groups. These actions follow a recent case where a baby girl was found dead in a trash bin, leading to the mother's detention. The new legislation aim to address concerns about ICE operations and support immigrant communities.
