Southern Water will introduce a restriction on hosepipes in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight from mid-July. The same measures began in Kent recently. The company cites hot weather and low rainfall as the primary cause.
The ban applies to private watering, garden hoses, and cleaning vehicles. If dry conditions persist, officials could extend the rules. Southern England already has extra water-saving steps in certain areas.
