A construction company tied to a CFMEU scandal was stripped of its licence on Wednesday. Regulators stated the company was "not fit and proper" to hold a licence to operate. The decision comes after a number of investigations into procurement practices linked to the union.
At the same time, several unions mounted a public attack on the corruption investigator who disclosed a $15 billion public works fraud bill. The unions argue the investigator is targeting union members without cause. Officials responded that the probe is connected to a broader examination of the Big Build program.
