Ford has issued a global recall of more than 12,700 trucks because a previous repair was defective. The recall affects particular trucks; owners will be contacted for a free fix.
A separate recall targets 11,000 2018 Ford F‑150s for a transmission gear‑indicator fault. The updated checks started in 2026. Ford replaced its regular engine reviews with daily breakdowns. The company says the shift spots deadly flaws before they enter widespread builds.
