CBS announced on Wednesday that Michael Weatherly will return as Tony DiNozzo on NCIS Season 24. Weatherly left the main series in a few years ago. His return follows the cancellation of the planned spin-off NCIS: Tony & Ziva.
He will join the main series for one full season. The network has not yet released other details about his new role. The show will continue broadcasts in the autumn. Shooting for the season is still pending.
